Thank you for anonymously logging your public IP address with us.*
No further action is required on your part.
By clicking on the link in the email you received, and coming to this webpage, we can now identify and exclude your public IP address from our studies.
In this sample heat map, areas with more activity are indicated with a yellow overlay, while those with little or no activity range from bright blue to black.
The scale in the lower right equates the colors to a percentage.
The reason for our request is that we are about to begin heat-mapping this website in order to observe our customers' interaction with the content. The mapping will provide us with a very detailed view of what parts of the page viewers are interested in, and what elements on-screen they tap on or even hover over. Working with very small sample sizes, even a single visitor outside of our target audience can upset the validity of the results we get.
What more can you do to help our study?
- Please repeat this process, and return to this webpage from every location you visit this website from. (For example, visit once when connected to the internet from home, and similarly once from the office.)
- Also, please limit your visits to this website to those locations that have had their IP addresses logged and excluded through this process.
- Cellular IP addresses can be difficult to track, so if you are viewing the website from a mobile device like a tablet or smartphone, be sure to be connected to an excluded wi-fi network.
*A unique public IP address is assigned to every wi-fi router, cellular hotspot, and every other type of connection to the internet. Your public IP address does not personally identify you in any way, and is a random number visible to every webpage and internet portal you connect to. To see your IP address, google "What is my IP address?"
P.S. We appreciate your help with our study, and we will never share this information with anyone, nor will we use it for any other purpose.
